It has gold hardware, 2-point design, sunburst finish, symmetrical pickguard, and 3-ply binding on the body and headstock. The Kentucky KM-1500 Master F-Model Mandolin Vintage Sunburst uses the finest, most highly figured Michigan Maple combined with the whitest, most fine-grained Adirondack Spruce. The KM-400E was made in Japan and imported by Saga Instruments. Up for sale is a used 1980's Saga Kentucky "F" KM-800 Mandolin in Original Case Made in Japan- great action and tone & fast action- Nice condition - possible Sumi? made by hand in Japan- has much patina and surface scratching on head stock- frets in real good shape but a little minor denting and tarnishing- some patina on tail piece- minor polish swirling on body- original pick guard has hole worn into it- comes with it along with pick guard bracket which is missing tensioner nut and has oxidation on the gold plate- frets are a bit tarnished-case is solid but has travel and tolex wear on front, back, and sides- latches work well!- this mando was played a lot and loved-Īlso has fishman bridge passive pickup which works!- Kentucky KM400E Electric Mandolin - 895 (Erie) Kentucky KM400E Electric Mandolin has 4-strings, with a bound basswood body, bound maple neck with a 7-inch radiused rosewood fretboard and adjustable truss rod.
